I am a graduate of The Rosen Method: The Berkeley Center in Berkeley, California and certified by the Rosen Institute as a Rosen Method Bodywork Practitioner.  The Rosen Institute is recognized by the Washington State Department of Health as a Somatic Education Program.  I am a member of the Rosen Method Professional Association.

I was extremely fortunate to have studied for five years with Marion Rosen, the founder of Rosen Method as an integral part of my training.  Marion Rosen turned 95 years old in June of 2009, is still teaching and practicing Rosen Method.  My Internship was supervised by Elaine Mayland, one of the principal teachers of Rosen Method Bodywork and founder of many of the international schools of Rosen Method located around the world.

I have been a practicing Buddhist in the Tibetan Karma Kagyu and Nyingma traditions since 1972 and have found that the uncontrived space found with the practice of formless meditation is very complementary with Rosen Method Bodywork.  The openness of meditation provides a spacious container for this form of bodywork to occur.  Holding the space without judgment for whatever may arise during a Rosen session is a very important component of Rosen Method Bodywork.  If you have any questions about Rosen Method Bodywork, please contact me to discuss if this gentle, soft touch, form of bodywork is something that you would like to explore.
